the witch:
and other tales of the american gothic

An accused witch is banished from her home in Portland, Maine. A young socialite in New Orleans dabbles in magic to get rid of a rival. An acrobat in a traveling circus learns her greatest enemy lives in the mirror. An Irish immigrant may have brought malevolent faeries with her to the New World. A lumberjack in the Pacific Northwest suspects a monster lurks behind the enormous trees. A Colorado gold miner finds himself trapped in the bowels of the earth, no matter how many times he tries to dig his way out. A psychiatrist in Chicago suffers from insomnia and loses track of where reality ends and his nightmares begin.

Based on the upcoming book of stories by Jessica Hobbs, and featuring a cast of impeccable voice actors and a hunting score by yours truly, The Witch: And Other Tales of the American Gothic is a collection of strange occurrences in 19th century America. These seven stories provide a reflection of the country’s growing pains during a time of transition and an exploration of the secrets that lurk in the shadows of the world we think we know.

The Witch | Portland, ME 1814

IMPOSTOR!

Impostor Syndrom got you down? We understand all too well...

I was so pleased to score this inspirational short by James Parris. It captures so well the topsy-turvy, doubt-filled experience that myself and so many creatives struggle with every day.

This music is now on streaming services as well!

Critical role fan music!

As a giant nerd and Dungeons & Dragons player I've been a big fan of the Critical Role web series on twitch. As a tribute to the new Campaign 3 of the show I've been having a blast writing a new piece of music inspired by a scene from each week's episode. You can check them out below:

NEtflix Untold

I was fortunate enough to be the music editor for the new Netflix docuseries Untold! This series features five incredible stories surrounding athletes or teams, going deep into tales you've never heard and can hardly believe. Composer Brocker Way's music is exquisite, and it was an honor to work with him on this project.

Elder Garden Vocations Out Now!

My new album, Elder Garden Vocations, is now available on all platforms!

The ep is an exploration of dark ambient soundscapes, noir vibes, eldritch horror and an overarching theme of nature reclaiming the industrial. The saxophones were brilliantly performed by David Moyer. Artwork by Luke Zwanziger. Notation by Edith Mudge. Special thanks as well to Ian Gifford who encouraged me to explore this new style.
